Privacy Policy

GoEco W.A. (ABN 62 114 825 390) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Last updated: 1 November 2026

1. What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us through our website forms:

  • Guide requests and the home air check: name, email, suburb or postcode, building type, the rooms you flag on the house plan, home checklist answers, and the service and main concern you choose.
  • Contact enquiries: name, email, optional phone and suburb, service of interest and your message.
  • Pre-inspection intake form: contact details, property address and building information such as construction, ventilation, heating and any water or damp history. The form does not ask for medical details.

The symptom cards on our home page are for reading only. Nothing in them can be selected, so no symptom information is collected or stored.

2. No health information collected

GoEco W.A. does not collect health or medical information. Our forms ask only about your building and the environmental air priorities you want to address, such as dust, pollen and indoor irritants, mould, condensation or draughts. We do not ask about, record or store any medical conditions, diagnoses, symptoms or health status of anyone in your home.

Please don't include health details in free-text messages. If you do, we will not record them in our files.

3. Why we collect it

  • To send you the free guides you request.
  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
  • To plan and carry out inspections, testing and reports.
  • To follow up about your enquiry, where you have agreed to be contacted.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

4. Who can see it and where it is stored

Your information is stored securely by our website, database and email service providers. Only GoEco W.A. staff with an admin login can view it. Some of these providers may store data on servers outside Australia; we choose providers that use industry-standard security and encryption.

We will only disclose your information to others where you have agreed, or where we are required or authorised by law.

5. Site inspections and diagnostic data

During on-site assessments, including airtightness testing, moisture audits and ventilation checks, we record technical and property information to prepare your report and quote:

  • What we record on site: property address, client contact details, building measurements, diagnostic readings (such as air changes per hour, moisture meter readings, thermal imaging scans and ventilation flow rates), and photographs of building assemblies, equipment or moisture issues.
  • Photographs inside your home: photos focus only on the building fabric, mechanical equipment, leaks or defects. We take care not to capture occupants, personal documents or personal belongings.
  • Building data, not medical notes: inspection records and reports assess building physics and environmental conditions only. We do not record medical histories, symptoms or health claims in inspection files.
  • Use and disclosure: inspection records and reports are used only to produce your findings, plan remediation or upgrades and prepare your quote. They are never shared with third parties or insurers without your consent, unless required by law.
  • Case studies and marketing: we will never use photos or test results from your home in case studies or promotional material without your prior written permission, and any approved material is fully anonymised.
  • Keeping technical records: inspection reports, diagnostic readings and related communications are kept for 7 years to meet Australian business record-keeping and professional indemnity requirements, then securely deleted.

6. How long we keep it

  • Saved intake forms are automatically deleted 12 months after submission.
  • Intake forms you choose not to save are not stored. You and GoEco W.A. each receive an emailed copy, and you can download a PDF.
  • Site inspection reports and diagnostic records are kept for 7 years, as described above.
  • Guide requests and enquiries are kept only as long as we need them to respond, follow up and keep business records, and are deleted when no longer needed or when you ask us to.

7. Cookies and browser storage

We do not use advertising cookies. The intake form saves your draft answers in your own browser so you don't lose progress; this stays on your device until you submit or clear it. Our hosting provider may record basic, anonymous visit statistics.

8. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or stop receiving follow-up, by emailing goecowa@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, please contact us first at goecowa@gmail.com and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page. See also our Terms of Use and Inspection Disclaimer.
